Montana Women Veterans Retreat
September 2 – 6, 2026
It’s always an honor to welcome Montana Women Veterans to Bonanza Creek. The sacrifices these women have made continue to protect the freedoms we hold dear — not just here at home, but around the world.
In 2026, we will once again host the Montana Women Veterans Retreat here at the ranch, using the powerful Equine Gestalt healing method. Every year, strong, resilient, and courageous women veterans gather here — sharing their stories with one another, with the coaches, and with the horses who listen and heal.
If you’re a Montana female veteram looking for a place to find your true self again, to breathe deep, and soak up some strength, this retreat might just be what you’ve been looking for.
Enjoy home-cooked meals, group time with horses and other women veterans, riding time in this beautiful country and peace that only mother nature can bring. Out here, healing happens as strength returns, courage grows, and you begin to know you’ve still got it.
This marks the fifth year of this retreat — open to all Montana women veterans, no matter which conflict you served in. It’s coached by the horses, Gail Hager, a Vietnam veteran herself, and June Voldseth of Bonanza Creek Ranch.
We keep the group small, just 8 to 10 women, so everyone gets a chance to truly explore herself.
If you or someone you know would like to join us, please email bonanzacreekmontana@gmail.com to request an application form.
This retreat is sponsored by Montana Horsepower, a tax-deductible 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a small entrance fee as the only cost.
